who do you live with

Hi everybody:

Which of both questions is correct?

Bạn đang xem: who do you live with

Whom bởi you live with?
With whom bởi you live?

Thanks in advance

I think they're both OK.

Some insist that you should never kết thúc a sentence with a preposition (with), but I think it's OK in this case.

The whole who/whom thing is confusing lớn bu (and I'm a native speaker :)). Most people (at least where I live) seldom use the word "whom," even though sometimes it is the correct word.

The most grammatically correct would probably be: With whom bởi you live?

both are correct. Grammarians having strict stylistic rules say that a preposition cannot be used at the very kết thúc of a sentence, but you take the common usage among native-speaker of a given language into consideration when learning foreign languages. And native-speakers of English use them both quite often.

Just lớn confirm that Whom bởi you live with? sounds decidedly stilted. In informal speech, it would be more common lớn say Who're you living with?
